Many credit card companies offer reward to their customers for using their credit cards. These credit card rewards are generally tied to purchase of certain items on the card. These rewards will be something around 0.25% to 2.0% of the amount that was spent. Certain companies provide rewards as redemption coupons or air tickets to attract more customers.

When you choose to get a reward card, you have to check whether the company charges any interest for offering rewards to you. If there is no interest on reward cards, you have to use the reward card always so that, you get more points getting you more gifts and cash back offers.  Generally, account transfers and withdrawals will not earn points on your reward cards.
