Credit Card Rewards – Should they be taken or should they be avoided
January 22nd, 2008
Most of the credit card companies offer credit card rewards to lure the customers. Many people do get carried away and become members of these credit card companies. But are these rewards really advantageous or are they just traps?
Most of the companies have credit card rewards such as cash back rewards, air miles, freebies etc. While cash back rewards are the most preferred ones, air miles rewards would be useful only for people who travel frequently and the products that are offered for free are often highly priced. But then it is not that everyday people get something for free. So when one gets the opportunity it is good to go for it.
Apart from this, the credit card rewards would be advantageous only when they are redeemed on time. Some times people become members but they do not redeem the prizes because they do not have the time to contact the credit company or collect the prizes.
Also many of the cards giving these credit card rewards have higher rate of interest, so this could be of benefit only to those who clear their balances regularly.
